A ONE DAY COURSE FOR TRAINED FACILITATORS
Training accredited for 5 Hours
This training will equip the facilitator with the knowledge required to facilitate a version of the Freedom Programme which has been specially adapted for service users who have a range of different learning skills. For example some people learn from pictorial or animated material rather than the written word. This adaptation is also suitable for women who have been described as having 'Learning Disabilities' or 'Learning Difficulties'. In response to this widespread demand, our Freedom Programme trainer and facilitator, Hazel Gumbs, has worked in partnership with NHS CLDT team in Bristol to create a successful pilot programme and several more are planned.
Hazel is now ready to train other facilitators to use the adapted course.
All trainees receive a manual in the form of a download which they can print off to distribute as handouts. At the event they will also be given a sample printed copy to work with during the course of the training.
